I've stared culling the non performers. Pulled about 30 minis and hybrid teas yesterday. A society friend came over and sprayed my roses with Mancozeb. I'll have to spray again Tuesday and Friday, then I'll go with Banner Maxx and Compass every other week on what roses survive the culling. Only those that are growing well will stay. That means most, if not all, hybrid teas will end up on the burn pile. Many shrubs look good especially the own roots I picked up this spring from Muncys.

Have cleaned the garage and tossed everything not used in the last two years. Gave away the sprinkling system I moved with me two years ago. Decided I'll never get it in but have a professionally installed overhead system that's working well so watering is not a problem. Will have to relocate many roses this fall but should end up with about 100, down from 540. Will have to plant lots of grass seed. I'm looking forward to less stress.
